Associate Business Analyst - Sales

Job Purpose

Support sales processes through data creation, analysis, review and follow up.   With tenacity, he/she will help increase the effectiveness of our sales operations by working with the sales team, management, customer service, business development and marketing to provide actionable data, develop resources for sales/distributors, train on systems such as Salesforce, excel or other as needed and prepare intelligence reports from field sales or general market feedback.

May support or lead projects relating to process definition, changes or implementation.  May support marketing projects such as trade shows, events or content creation. Will support data analysis using ReportsNow (from ERP, JD Edwards) for general reporting of sales, production or product reports.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  1. Support or lead projects relating to process definition, changes or implementation.
  2. Support marketing projects such as trade shows, events or content creation.
  3. Support data analysis using ReportsNow (from ERP, JD Edwards) for general reporting of sales, production or product reports.
  4. Review sales history to determine productivity trends
  5. Research market information on competitors, industries and trends.
  6. Collaborate with sales team to identify areas for improvement or needs
  7. Run reports on field activities and report trends, issues, outliers and actions needed.
  8. Manage customer data in CRM system for duplicates, errors, and analysis
  9. Support new business development, product management and other front end activities including, but not limited to, market research, Target account quantification, pricing analysis and other activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, or a similar field
  • Experience or demonstrated skills/understanding in creating reports from data to create actions to address sales issues
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools, including Excel, helpful to know ReportsNow
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Beneficial to have
    • Experience with an outside sales team and B2B distribution.
    • CRM usage or management such as Salesforce
  • Work in Dayton, Ohio office – not a remote position
  • Limited travel required.

  2. At times, weekend work may be required to accomplish all tasks on-time and/or to complete work related to competing priorities.
