Aerial & Die Mount Wide Cams

Danly-IEM

IEM aerial and die mount wide cams have mounting face widths in eight size widths from 500 mm to 1200 mm. Cam angles in 5° increments are available from 0° to 60° for Aerial Cams and 0° to 20° for Die Mount Cams. Rated output force ranges from 325 kN to 930 kN (38 TonF to 95 TonF).

Product Features

  • Cam angles are in 5° increments – Aerial Cams from 0° to 60°; Die Mount Cams from 0° to 20°.
  • The cams will be categorized by mounting face width, which determines the shut height and overall width.
  • All cam units are heavy duty high volume and completely hard metric.
  • All wear surfaces will be double plated aluminum bronze with graphite plugs running against plain hardened steel.
  • Wear plates are backed up in the direction of thrust.
  • Wear plates conform to VDI specifications for 12mm thick plates.
  • Aerial Cams are guided by drivers with "V" guides.
  • Cams can be ordered with coil springs or nitrogen springs.

Bump CamsBox Cams

IEM precision Box Cams have been the leader in the industry for almost 40 years. With a 45 degree interface between driver and slide, the box cam turns vertical press stroke to horizontal work stroke, with a 1 to 1 ratio. Sliding surfaces are self-lubricated for ease of maintenance, and the box cam is offered with either internal or external spring return.

Bump Cams

The bump cam turns vertical press stroke to horizontal work stroke, and is known for the advantage of interchangeable components. Designed with a compact footprint, it is favored for saving important die space. The larger bump cams have optional spring return kits, including nitrogen.

LamCam Roller Cams

Lamina

Anchor Lamina Roller Cams are now available for your stamping die applications. The LamCam™ Roller Cams can be used for piercing, flanging, and trimming operations.

Anchor Lamina Roller Cams are designed to function at one million hits plus. These can be specified in four face widths of 63mm, 100mm, 150mm, and 200mm, with a maximum force of 150 kN (16.9 tons), and work stroke of 50, 75, or 95 mm. LamCam™ Roller Cams are adaptable to any mounting angle.

LamCam™ Roller Cams have a unique design and construction with total interchangeability of components. Additional features include:

  • Maintenance-free, aluminum-bronze alloy wear surfaces
  • Maximum mounting surface on slide face
  • Increased slide surfaces
  • Interlocking safety systems
  • Easy access to Return Spring

The LamCam™ Roller Cam tooling mount plate is readily accessible from the back. No disassembly of cam slide is required.

NAAMS cams share common slide, driver, base, and wear components that are interchangeable between aerial and die mounted cam styles. NAAMS SlimCam 50mm Aerial Cam

With a true 50 mm width and a dynamic load rating of 4 tons(35.6kN), this robust cam is ideal for light and medium duty stamping die applications.

The new 50 mm design has already proven its robustness and durability in an automotive fender application. The compact cam design is ideal for arraying cams in an arc or circle pattern for piercing or trimming operations.

NAAMS SlimCam 50mm Die Mount Cam

The LamCam™ SlimCam™ 50 mm Die cams are available in Aerial and Die mount styles. Available work angles are 0 to 30 degrees for Die mount cams, and 0 to 75 degrees for Aerial cams. The shut height is 225 mm on both Aerial cams and Die mount cams. The LamCam™ SlimCam™ 50 mm features a compact footprint and a mechanically interlocked slide. The 4 ton rating is the highest in the field for 50 mm cams.

Anchor Lamina NAAMS aerial and die mount cams are a joint development effort between automotive and Lamina Engineers. Our aerial cams and die mount cams have been manufactured to meet or exceed all the NAAMS heavy duty cam requirements. These high performance, high volume production cams are available in 8 sizes, from 50 mm to 300 mm from stock. Install LamCam™ NAAMS die cams for a number of stamping die cam applications. Engineering support for cam applications is available for die builders and die designers.

Return Spring Kit Options

Recognizing that different cam applications have different requirements, Lamina offers four Return Spring Kit Options:

Mechanical - Employs conventional ISO Die Spring - used in cam applications where additional stripping force is not required.

Combination Mechanical/Nitrogen - This unique Lamina design employs an ISO Die Spring in series combination with a Nitrogen Spring. This return system utilizes the mechanical spring for pre-load, keeping the initial contact forces low, while providing high final loads from the nitrogen spring for stripping.

Nitrogen - This return system provides high return spring forces for stripping. By nature of the nitrogen spring, it also has higher initial contact force than other return spring options. This higher initial contact load may result in higher wear on the cam and its accelerator system (where applicable).

Higher Force Nitrogen - Fits the standard gas spring envelope and delivers more force for stripping.

Milfab Cam Punch Units

Lempco

Milfab cams are made from investment cast case hardened steel. Their unique rotary cam trigger translates vertical ram motion to horizontal work. They have a compact footprint that is facilitated by using the pierce punch as the slide. An offset trigger is available for mounting at angles from 15 to 60 degrees.
